I mean they are not thrilled— they wrote the letter to say “hey let’s work together on protecting the agency’s mission to protect the environment” and Zeldin’s response was to send armed agents to escort people from the building pending an “investigation” into an open letter.

So instead of actually working to protect the environment they are sitting at home.

They haven't been able to be working to protect the environment since January. Now they are at home instead of being unable to do their job at the office.

And they have lots of publicity now. Although news cycles are so short now that people will have forgotten by Saturday.

I once got more than suspended for being critical of my employer. This is nothing new and it certainly isn't specific to the Trump era.
