What's your favorite store brand?
And what toppings do you like? I am in the mood for a great hot dog tomorrow. And I want to jazz it up a bit. |
Ballpark 100% beef.
I'm good with mustard and relish but wouldn't turn down a Sonora dog if offered one. |
I'm a simple girl. Hebrew National, grilled, with ketchup. |
My absolute favorite hotdogs are red snappers from Maine. Since i cannot find those here, and don't want to spend a fortune on shipping, I stick with Nathan's or Hebrew National.
I like top open buns, and grill them on the sides. My toppings: mustard, onion and sour kraut I also have relish, ketchup, Dijon mustard, chick fila sauce on hand for kids. I love a super grilled/slightly black hotdog. |
Nathan's hands down, charcoal grilled or cut down the middle and pan fried in some butter with sauerkraut. Now I'm hungry. |
Yuck. |
Hebrew National, mustard, pickles, and mayo.

if you're local, Butcher's Alley has outstanding hot dogs
I am a big sauerkraut/relish/mustard dog eater |
This made me crave a Kayem dog we get when in New England. We get the traditional version but there’s something about that “snap “. |

My favorite hot dog is 5 Guys with cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and BBQ sauce.
Don't knock it until you try it. Other than that, a traditional NYC cart dog - mustard, relish, and kraut. |
There had to be one. Not even original with this comment. |
They have the best buns in maine too - i remember the snappers, they have a unique texture too. The color as an adult is a bit nuclear: https://www.wmtw.com/article/maine-red-hot-dog-fda-ban-red-3-dye-red-snappers/63458998 |
What's wrong with sausage and ketchup? |
Oh look! Someone clutching their pearls over HOT DOGS!!! For the 4th of July! So stupid. |
