Meals in Charleston

Any recommendations? Really open to anything - fried seafood, local favorites, high end (it’s next weekend so not a place that books out months), brunch or bakery favorites. Thanks!

Obstinate daughter on Sullivan Island. FIG. Poogan’s porch for brunch. 167 Raw. I think most of these we booked in advance (especially Fig) but you might get lucky!

I’d go get Melvins BBQ it’s right across the bridge in Mt Pleasant. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is great. You can get it to go and take it to the park that sits under the bridge, it’s like 1/2 mile away, if that. Try the banana pudding if they have it.

FIG. you need to book at exactly the time they say - 12 pm x days in advance (30 maybe?). Best meal we had there.

We also enjoyed Magnolias.

And if you are a fan of Vivian Howard, Lenoir is good, but not as good as her NC restaurant.

It's my favorite too. If you can't get a reservation and you're only two, we've actually had great luck going on the later side and eating at the bar.
