Gordon Ramsey Hexclad

Gordon endorses Hexclad. Seems a bit pricey and I read you have to “season” (oils and salt it I believe) the skillet before each use. Before investing in it, has anyone tried this product? Is it as good as he claims?

At this point I have replaced nearly all of our pans (formerly Calphalon or All Clad) with HexClad. My DH does most of the cooking - he’s a very good cook and these were recommended to him by his best friend who is a FANTASTIC cook. They do a great job and clean up amazingly well in the dishwasher. The only one I regret getting is the roasting pan because it isn’t big enough - and I got the large one - to properly replace the old one we have that’s a bear to clean, so it’s kind of sitting around taking up space.

It has a coating over the metal. You'll end up eating that.

I have a couple of Hexclad skillets and I like them very much. Having used my All Clad for 30 years without a hiccup I never considered replacing it with anything. But for skillets and a griddle I really like the Hexclad. I want to get the wok - my daughter has the small one and said it's great.

I gave Hexclad a shot when I needed to replace my Calphalon nonsticks this time around and have been very happy with them. Performance wise I find the nonstick properties of each similar. The Hexcalds act like a high quality pan and heat a bit more evenly/ retain heat a little better. Biggest difference is durability. I used to get about 18-24 months out of the Calphalons before I would replace them. I'm 2 years into the Hexclads and they still look and perform like new. They won't replace my stainless pans for searing/ roasting or other high heat cooking.

I got mine in 2022. Liked them until I learned snout the clas action suit due to older product costing having forever chemicals contrary to claims.
New liner allegedly really nontoxic.
I feel betrayed. Do not trust them. They blew off my warranty claim for manufacturing defect due to toxic lining. Class action prob $50 for my $699 set.
