In search of the perfect espadrilles... less than $200 and no ankle strap

Anonymous
I have been down the rabbit hole looking for a pair of espadrilles that meet these criteria: 1. neutral color, 2. comfortable, 3. no more than 2 inches in height, or can do a flat, 4. no ankle strap (I am sturdy so ankle straps give me the long look).

Any recommendations?

Can you share what an espadrille looks like with no strap? I thought that was a feature of the espadrille?

And be sure to peruse the different categories. They have sandals and slides with espadrille soles. I have these and love them.

They can be flat. In fact the original espadrille is flat.

OP, Geox makes very comfy ones.

Ankle straps look horrible on most women.

Wedges with slingbacks are way more attractive.
