Israel arming rival gangs in Gaza to kill each other for food

In recent months, more armed actors have joined the fighting, and a fierce struggle for power and influence has intensified even as the Israeli offensive continues. These now include various other militant factions, a dozen armed militias representing major local families or clans, new coalitions organised by independent community leaders, and criminal gangs empowered by the deepening anarchy.


The result is that Gaza is fragmenting into individual fiefdoms. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) holds much of the territory, including a wide “buffer zone” cleared of buildings along the territory’s perimeter and a swath of the south along the border with Egypt, where it works closely with the Popular Forces, a new militia run by a former convict and smuggler called Yasser Abu Shabab. Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, has confirmed that Israel provides weapons to clans that oppose Hamas.

I remember being taught in my mostly Jewish elementary school how one of the most evil aspects of the Nazi Concentration camps was that, in a desperate effort to just survive, some Jewish people in the camps and ghettos became " Capos" doing the Nazi's work for them, choosing who would survive and even brutalizing each other.

Elie Wezel wrote about this evil in his book," Night " . Confessing how he hated himself after the war for how in the camps he resented his own father's weakness.

As horrible as it was to learn this in 5th grade at that tender age compounded by the fact that many of my class mates were grandchildren of survivors, I had confidence back then in what we were taught, " we are teaching you this so that you as adults will recognize the signs that lead to this and never allow it to happen again " . " Never again" .

And yet, here we are just 80 years later and now it is Israel, in violation of Jewish law and Jewish values- as well as ALL Human values, is not just starving millions of Gazans to death but arming the starving men and encouraging rival gangs to kill each other over food- while the IDF sits there and watches or shoots to kill the women and children who run away in the chaos:

This is true EVIL on Earth that Israel is engaging in.

If the Gazans want to kill each other, why is that anyone else's concern? Nobody is pulling the trigger for them. If they don't want to kil each other, fine. If they do, fine.

Groups are willing to fight Hamas, and Israel is helping.

There were some deaths in a Gaza hospital where Hamas retreated to their bunker inside, as a family came armed and shot at them for killing their boy.

This doesn't make the news as attack on a hospital because it wasn't Israel doing the shooting.

Let them have at each other. Who are we to tell them/force them to act like civilized people if they prefer criminality? We don't intervene when criminal gangs elsewhere in the world behave like criminal gangs, this is no different.
