Hi:
I tested at 9.6 at day 20 (labs) and think I might have ovulated at day 19 (the pee sticks). Does this sound right? Is this number too low, or is it ok since I think I may have ovulated one day prior. Did I not ovulate?? What does this mean? I am on 50mg Clomid, this was the first month. Have been trying to concieve for 10 months now. |

Its odd they are testing you on day 20 if you just ovulated...the testing should be done 7 days post ovulation to get an accurate reading. But nonetheless anything over 4 indicates ovulation...so that's good news!! Without know how many DPO you are its hard to say if that number is good or not. I know at 7dpo they like to see a level about 10 on a non medicated cycle and a level about 15 on a medicated cycle. I don't know if clomid counts as medicated or not.
What type of OPK are you using??? I tend to like th Clear Blue Easy Digital. It's a bit more pricey but takes the guessing out of reading lines...you can get them cheaper at Amazon.com...HTH!!!! |
| Thanks, that is good information!!! I was supposed to get a blood draw at day 21, but somehow I messed that up. They told me to use the test strips (I used Answer) and that I should ovulate on day 10-14 sometime. Since those days came and went and I hadn't tested positive, I called them and they told me to go for a 21 day blood draw. Just so happens that I think I ovulated on day 19, then tested on day 20. Anyways, the last month I didn't ovulate (hence now the Clomid). So from what you are saying (if I understand) is that chances are good I ovulated. So now I guess it is a wait and see game! How soon do I test (preg test) after ovulation? I did today (day 27) and it was negative. |
