One of the USABO finalist and RSI we know got into MIT but rejected at Harvard

Without hooks, the top students get admitted to the top schools. It would be weird to prefer a less talented student over a more talented student, all else equal.

Why do why need a thread devoted to the potential college outcomes of one specific, named student?

This is what happens when a school offers honors classes for students who qualify, instead of pseudohonors for all.

Tech schools like MIT CMU Georgia Tech look favorably upon Olympiad winners. Not as much at HYP. But it's mutual, these kids strongly favor tech schools anyway.
