Total Weighted and Unweighted GPA

Anonymous
Does anyone know where I can find my kid's total weighted GPA and unweighted GPA? I know that there's the Student Grades and Graduation Credit Report that has this information but she's only gotten it once in April. I'm looking for an up to date one based on her last semester grades. She's a rising senior.

Check Naviance and see if it’s updated there. If not, ask the gc.

It will definitely be updated in Naviance pretty quickly, although if you go in through a parent account, you might only be able to see it by looking at scattergrams and hovering on their circle. But the kids should be able to see it under their profile on their Naviance account (I was never able to find it on my parent account except via scattergrams)

What is Naviance and how do you get a parent account?

Naviance is a platform used in High Schools to get kids ready to explore and apply for colleges. They may get accounts as early as middle school, but those will not be populated with the info the OP is looking for. Email your HS's college counselor or your kid's guidance counselor for a parent account. But again, most parents don't look at Naviance until around junior year of HS

It will be updated in a couple weeks. Think it usually happens in July. Your kid is a senior (mine too) and I think the kid should be able to calculate it.

You could ask kid's counselor for a transcript or school registrar

Just log in with your kids account. It’s not intended to have separate parent only functions.

The next SGGCR will be issued in late August or early September, after all the summer school grades are in and processed. It will show the GPA updated with both spring and summer grades.

Until then, as others have said, Naviance is the best way. Your kid may have the login info for their account somewhere, if they dig through their email or clean out their backpack.

Not sure what this means, but yes there are parent accounts. When you log in, you log in as either a parent or a student, just as you do for ParentVue versus your DC's StudentVue. As it should be, parents don't have the same permissions in the account as the kids do -- for example, parents can see which schools kids are applying to, but they can't add them. The advantage of using the parent account, aside from allowing kids to control their own accounts, is that those parents with multiple kids in HS can access their profiles via one account, since your kids are all connected to your parent account, but of course not to each other's accounts.

If not taking summer school, email the counselor for an unofficial transcript. They work during the summer

ParentVue is not Naviance.
