My eye doctor previously ordered contacts for customers. Now, they have partnered with the provider (Acuvue) to order directly from the provider. However, the price is more than double what I use to pay. I have the prescription so could order from somewhere else. Any suggestions for less expensive but reliable places to order? |
1-800-contacts (they will price match)
Costco |
I just ordered from EZ Contacts. Same acuvue lenses as anywhere else but waaaay cheaper than even Costco or 1800 contacts. |
Just switch to Costco. It’s the best. |

My doctors office will match any online price like 1800contacts, so I’d try that first |
NP. I did this one time and they acted like they were doing be a huge service. Next time, I’m just going to order from somewhere else. |
Costco |
Google the name of your contacts and you will receive lots of options. Shipping and especially, handling can vary so be sure to calculate carefully. |
4 contact lens wearers in our house, and I usually check Costco, Target Optical, Vision Direct and 1800Contacts.com before ordering, because the prices vary tremendously. I order from wherever they are least expensive |
I've ordered from 1-800 Contacts before. And also ContactDirect.
There are so many to choose from. If you have vision insurance, it MAY be cheaper to use that. Or you can check the cash price online (many places have a cash rate, which is cheaper than the rate using vision insurance). |
I've ordered from Wal-Mart several times, and have always been satisfied. Plus, they have the cheapest price and mail to my home. |
One more thing, your contact prescription is good for 12 months. At the 11th month, I usually order another other years worth of contacts. |
Me too! |
