Sure, the prices are low. But the stores are not well-stocked, often dirty, and god forbid you have to deal with anyone who works there. It seems like it’s the first day on the job for all of them. Chevy Chase location off Connecticut is particularly bad.
Amazon should be better than this! |
| The one in Falls Church is really nice. |
| Fairfax location looks grungy. I think it's actually clean, but the concrete they used for the floor and the lighting are terrible. I am typically only in there to drop off amazon returns. |
| the one in gaithersburg/rockville is awesome and has stuff I can’t find anywhere else. Also has some of the lowest prices. |
| I like that store but the produce is not always stocked. |

The one in Friendship Heights can be frustrating. The cashiers and other staff are generally very helpful. It’s nice to have an option in the neighborhood that sells national brands — often at excellent prices. I get frustrated though, because they are often out of basic things, and several times I’ve purchased products that I like — that I then never see again.
For me, Amazon Fresh works well when I plan to shop at multiple stores. I do a first trip to Amazon Fresh — then shop at another store for the items that I wasn’t able to get at Amazon Fresh. |
| Just pay the $10 tip and have your order delivered. So much better! |
Forget the Chevy Chase location. Almost everyone who goes there has a negative comment about that one. Try Harris Teeter Bethesda downtown, parking underground. Or Mom's Silver Spring downtown, also parking underground. |
| I go to the Gaithersburg store and I’ve never encountered any issues. |
| The one in White Oak is great. |
| I only use Amazon Fresh for delivery and it works well. Always on time, orders always correct, friendly delivery people. |
Same - the delivery service is great. The produce is fresh, they have a much bigger variety and better prices than my local Giant. The one time we didn't receive all of our items, the driver realized it and came back 20 minutes later to drop the bag off. |
| Haha, Amazon is rife with counterfeits and shady deals. They are ruthless capitalists; you think the grocery story, a low margin cutthroat industry, would be a deluxe experience? |
| I really don't understand how Amazon Fresh always gets the delivery order right. Whole Foods: I get rotten produce, one misdelivered bag of someone else's order, random substitutions that they never notified me about, it comes an hour late, and they dump it in random places on my property. |
| You’re expecting high quality? …from Amazon? |
