I'm thinking the ice cream stands or Sonics that were popular in the northeast decades ago - you walk up and someone hands you your ice cream through a window? Or I guess at Sonic they brought food to your car but that's not necessary.
Just looking for an alternative to the parking the car and walking into a mall or strip mall kind of ice cream places. |

Not Arlington but the Custard Shack in Belle Haven, Alexandria (Fairfax County) - just south of Old Town Alexandria off the GW Parkway. They have regular flavors and special flavors that rotate every couple of days.
