I’m thinking this is not what MAGA voted for. Looks a lot like GWB and the neo-Cons. Iraq and Afghanistan and “forever wars” were supposed to be anathema to Trump. What happened?

I know two MAGA families from my home town whose sons enlisted once Trump won in November. They were not going to enlist if Harris won. They absolutely believed Trump was an isolationist.

It’s not our fault the population in Iraq and Afghanistan would rather be led by warlords than a democratic government. It is our fault be stayed in those countries propping up puppet governments for decades that the population had no interest in following.

The majority of voters who chose Trump don't understand the first thing about domestic, international or economic policy. They believe what Trump tells them. They're empty vessels.

They will only rebel if their pocketbook starts to hurt significantly. Then they'll feel betrayed. Remember that most people vote for whoever they think will give them a better life, personally and immediately - they don't care about others or what happens in the future.

So why continue to spend American lives and financial largess where it is not widely wanted and accepted. You can’t make somebody or country love you.
