Wonder what posters here think of this and if things are equal in dc or no? I would be curious if the author, in addition to her anecdotes, talked to 24, 34 and 44, and 64 year olds. |
The majority of young men these days are unmarriable. |
Came for the misandry. Was not disappointed. |
If you’re a young man, make your case. |
I don't even know what this means.
I have a very engaged and awesome boyfriend (49yo.) I also have 3 boys - 21, 18 and 15. The 2 older ones have girlfriends. My dad is present and great. None of them are away. If anything, my boys think social media has bodysnatched the girls. |
Happily married, mid 40s guy here.
I read the article and thought the likeliest explanation is simply that guys are just not in to her. Just because she can't get any serious interest from men personally doesn't tell us much about society. Her personal observations about the ratio of men to women out on date night in wicker park also seem pretty dumb. |
Poor journalism. Anecdotal evidence from a woman who rarely gets dates. |
Young men and young women both. |
+1. My own kids included sadly. I should have done a better job on well. |
Absolutely. Gen x did a terrible job with their kids |
DP. Nah. Not taking your bait, misandrist. You’ve posted here enough that we all know you hate men. Hate, hate, hate them. Why bother trying to have a reasonable discussion with a hater like you? |
The country caters to women while they constantly shite on men.
Men tighten their circle and quietly go about their business, ignoring the nonsense. Women are the victims. Lol |
My kid's dad got mixed up in online dating while being married. I really think it was electronics that has most influenced the bad behavior of my ex and subsequently one of my children. Also the wider acceptance in anything goes society allows kids to pick ways to live that are unhealthy. If the kid picks a healthy way to live there are all sorts of resources for them but the same goes for a kid who doesn't. There are all sorts of resources to help you fail as well. |
I supervise some college interns, plus my kid's babysitters and swim coaches and while this isn't a representative sample by any means, these kids are generally alright. |
Women's narcissism, their addiction to posting their pictures on instagram type websites, their blue hair, duck lips, and tattoos aren't helping their case either. Nobody wants that shite. |
