Ordinarily I’d mow the lawn, but given the heat, would you leave it until next weekend?
It’s not out of control, but is looking a little tall. |
Not good for the grass to let it get too tall.
Should never cut more than 1-2 inches off the top at a mowing. Vary frequencies of mowing based on growth rate and season. Letting it get too tall invites fungus problems also. |
Why didn’t you mow yesterday? Lots of rainy days this week. It will get messy by the next wkd |
Actually, our lawn company has told us that keeping the grass tall is better in the heat. |
I would leave it until the end of the week then mow at like 7 am. |
I did not mow today. I do not think it will grow much this week and a bit long is good in the heat |
Mow mid week before the rain starts
|
I need to mow but too lazy |
Your health is more important than the grass. |
During "drought" not "heat". Taller grass is for keeping in moisture to prevent the need to water as much. |
No, it's good for when it's not raining much. Bad for when it's very wet. |
If you cut it, it may scorch in this heat. Not sure what type you have. |
It's not that hot. You are just looking for excuses and wanting validation. 1 hour of work won't kill you unless you are very ill already, in which case you need to focus on your health instead and hire out the lawn work. |
What's with this alpha dipshit call out mentality? Lawn is small, and will take 5-10 minutes max. I was sincerely asking about what's good for the lawn. I don't love the weather, but I'll deal and am outside every day. No need to be an aggressive idiot. |
My DH sometimes mows just the areas that have had some growth (for example, under a tree) to neaten things up. |
