I can't believe I'm asking DCUM for anything, but I am really in a dark place and don't feel I have anyone to turn to.
If you are a person who prays, please pray for my family. If you do not, please send positive energy or intentions. Struggling hard with --a family medical emergency yesterday (fortunately, it's probably resolved) --months of joblessness and no income (besides unemployment) for my husband and me --almost total social isolation; "friends" don't check in, I don't have it in me to ask again for support they won't give anyway --worsening depression |
Praying for you OP |
Sure, I’d be glad to. I’m sorry you’re going through all of this. |
I am thinking of you |
I’m sorry, OP. It sounds like you’re in a tough place.
I hope tomorrow is better than today. |
Sending prayers, OP. |
I’m so sorry, OP. That is way too much for anyone to handle at once. I sincerely hope you can talk to a therapist or a trusted friend. But if that’s not possible, please keep checking in. For the purposes of this thread, I’ll call myself “Susan.” So know that Susan is praying for you and your family, thinking of you, and hoping you are OK.
For what it’s worth, I’ve been through a very dark time as well when I reached out to DCUM because I honestly didn’t know where else to turn except for “the void.” It helped. We’re here. |
Here for you. |
I just said a prayer for you, OP. |
+1 |
I’m praying for you and your family, OP. Thanks for reaching out. Your reminded me to be still and feel God’s presence and love. |
Find a group therapy session. Much more helpful and less judgey than any religious group. |
Hey OP, it’s Susan. Just checking in. We’re thinking of you and sending good thoughts and prayers. Could you please give an update if you can? Just a line will do. |
Prayer. |
Prayers and graces to you OP. You’re not alone. |
