Could DC do it in the car if someone else is driving? DC has a sports practice right before one of them that can't be moved. |
Fwiw there is an asynchronous option offered at MC that covers both semesters |
Which MC class fulfills the requirement? Anyone have a link? |
MC HLTH 105 |
Look at the dual enrollment site for all the options |
They can as long as they participate. However there is a lot of busy work. They don’t actually meet as often as listed. |
My DD took on line health while taking a summer college class based on a description from a friend who took it the summer before. Unfortunately her summer had SO MUCH MORE work. She was not expecting to write papers...but she had to write papers. It was a big mistake. I would not feel confident based on answers here. She did end up passing but only because the teacher extended the final deadline. |
This was a couple years ago...
But when my daughter took Health A on-line a couple summers ago, there were a couple classes she was going to be late for. I just logged in as her (the teacher wasn't strict about the kids turning on cameras) and "watched" the class in case I had to type something in chat. When she finally arrived home, she relieved me from the class. So yes - he should be able to do it in the car (provided someone else is driving) |
The MCPS version has no papers, just busywork. Quite a lot of it, but it's not hard by any stretch of the imagination. My daughter took HHA and B the summer before 9th grade, to get it out of the way, and it was boring as heck. |
She took it last year. |
Its all project based and some worksheets. No papers. |
Currently, there is a wait list for MC HLTH 105 online class in summer II session. There are still some seats available in the online fall class. Unfortunately, the Dual Enrollment Program Assistants do not work in the summer. MCPS views this as a 10 month position. You can still register yourself by going to the Dual Enrollment High School Student section on the Montgomery College website. It is just harder to have a question answered in the summer than during the school year when the DEPA is readily available. Good luck. I hope the OP has a good vacation and all goes well. |
