NCAP locations

S/o from the other NCAP thread... we are considering joining NCAP next year for an 11 yo who would like to take her swimming to the "next level" - her words. There are two NCAP sites equidistant to us, one in Alexandria and one in Burke. Since they are both NCAP, are they more or less the same in their approaches? Or is each site run completely differently? I am still learning how to be a swim parent and appreciate any help in trying to understand the differences as we make our choice. They both are about the same level of difficulty in terms of logistics for our family.

Burke is the OG site and probably hardest to get into if you didn’t start there or don’t already have at least A times.

We are at Burke, and I think there is space in Bronze II am and pm for next year. This swimmer probably wouldn’t be eligible for Bronze I unless the swimmer has AA times. I suggest arranging a try out with Coach Kim or Coach Ryan. We have seen swimmers at our long course practices trying out for the team (trial by fire in a long course pool, ha ha).

Each site is completely different. Try to visit both and talk to coaches at both.
