| I've done some research and it seems like tea bags do leach microplastics. I can't find anything saying which brands are safer. Did you ditch your tea stash or gone with loose tea? |
| I like the taste of loose leaf anyway, so was an easy switch. |
| I switched but not happily. It's on my to-do list to find a brand with safe bags. |
| I switched to loose leaf tea and use unbleached paper tea bags from Amazon. |
| Bigelow teas supposedly don't have any plastic in the tea bag. That's what I drink. |
Where did you hear or read that because I just looked it up and it says they do have micoplastics? Thanks. |

Republic of Tea bags are safe, I believe.
I also bought a tea ball and loose leaf tea. |

I use a glass teapot like this with a stainless steel infuser. I buy loose leaf tea like Tetleys or Ahmed from the Indian grocery store or amazon. A box of tea lasts ages.
I boil the water in an electric kettle. I've never tried putting the glass teapot on the stove top. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DKJH1S26/ref=sspa_mw_detail_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWw |
| Yes, very sad. Not sure if that caused my cancer. My plan is to shift to loose tea. I am truly devastated |
| Yes those little nylon tea bags are plastic. But many teas have anti-oxidants so maybe it all balances out. |
No, it doesn’t balance out. |
| I switched to loose and love the fruit teas from Tiesta. |
Don’t worry, your tea is hardly your only exposure to microplastics. They’re in the air we breathe from degrading car tires, the water we drink, and in the food we eat. While it’s important to minimize exposure where we can, it’s truly impossible to avoid it. |
| I drink Stash brand tea for this reason. They claim not to use them. |
