Victor O'Niell Photo pricing

Any idea why the pricing of the graduation and senior pictures taken by Victor O'Niell is so high !!! One would think they would make it reasonable for parents to buy them, considering they are taking pictures of almost 300-500 kids at every school across all these events. The pricing is ridiculous - How many pictures do you end up buying - especially the graduation ones? We are not looking at sending invites/cards - need the pictures just for our kid's album/scrapbook.

Our public high school offers the bare-bones set for free, and after that, packages with more photos and/or different sets or costumes come with hefty price tag. We picked the free set, but honestly, we could easily have gone without any at all.

I don't understand why people want professional graduation photos. In this age of high-performing phone cameras, can't you take your own photos?
