I live in the north east (not dc) and notice in nyc and boston that umc young women/girls are way taller than 15 years ago…the delta isn’t so much expressed in boys.
Am I hallucinating or have you noticed that gen z / zellenial umc women are way taller than when we were in our 20s |

Kids are definitely taller now than 40 years ago. By about 2-3 inches on average.
The big corn push HFCS and super-sized meals have made them grow up larger both in height and weight. Remember the old saying about "cornfed girls" from the midwest being so much larger/taller/stronger than other girls? That's it. Males have also gained in overall generational height, but the high-carb diet as teens on them makes them less muscular and more lanky looking, causing lower testosterone levels. Feedback loop hormonally speaking. You just notice it less in the males due to that. |

Grown faster, or grown taller? Two different things.
With my kids’ friends (22 yo male, 18 yo female) I don’t see anything different in height from in my youth in the late 80s. |
| ADHD meds have a demonstrates impact on height. Since boys are diagnosed with ADHD meds and medicated at higher rates in the US, this could have a noticeable impact on average heights. |

Lol, no, average heights have not gone up by 2-3 inches. And I don't know what crevice you are pulling the bolded from, but that is complete fiction. |
| OP - I think you are right! |
| Eh. Could be better posture or the shoes that are wearing. They seem the same height to me. |
| They seem taller to me! I’m 50. |
