Family of 3, including 18 year old DS.
Grace bay sounds perfect but I worry about the teen getting bored. Will be 5-6 days. |
6 days is probably too long -if you do T&C can look at windsong on the reef to mitigate teen boredom b/c good snorkling. |
Thank you for that suggestion. I just checked hotel prices in Bermuda and was shocked at how high the good ones are, unbelievable. That may knock that island off the list, as we’re looking to spend less than $650/night for lodging. |
It's so easy to get to from the DMV, though. |
Aruba, below hurricane belt, safe and has lots to do |
It's hurricane season so get insurance or cancellable tickets!
We loved T&C but we have a teen who is content to lounge, eat, and do a variety of outdoor activities with us (kayaking for all on Chalk Sound, e-foiling with dad, snorkeling for all, etc....). |
They have internet at all those places. Pick wherever you and your DH would like to go. Your DS will be bored no matter where you pick. |
It might be too late, but you could look into house rentals in Bermuda. You might find one available -- and it would allow you to save money by not having to go out to eat for every meal. |
LOL DP so much this. After a certain age you must be content to let them enjoy their version of vacation. Which usually means looking bored to tears because they’d rather be with their friends. |
I’m taking my teen daughter to Aruba in July. We got a nice deal on an air bnb right on the beach we like. I’m excited to just do what we like. Snorkel, eat, drinks smoothies, lounge by pool, lounge at beach and binge watch bad teen drama shows at night. |
Just got back with college kids from Turks and they loved it. Grace bay is amazing. |
My teens loved 3 days in Turks. |
