Naviance — see McPS wide data?

Anonymous
Is there a way to access McPS wide data on naviance or elsewhere? For some smaller schools, the scaytergram for our Hs is not particularly useful because there aren’t enough data points.

I don’t think so. Also fyi the scatrergrams are widely inaccurate since they include data too far back and in some cases pre-teat optional. Data is also self reported by students. My kid was rejected or waitlisted at multiple schools where naviance showed a sea of green checks.

Bethesda Magazine publishes something each year, usually just Bethesda area HSs, but last year's was more expansive. It's based on info provided by the HSs, which presumably is based on the Naviance data, which commenters frequently say is not all that reliable. But it's here FWIW: https://bethesdamagazine.com/2024/09/17/where-do-moco-students-attend-college/

PP: but that is just the aggregate data on applications and attendance. Probably not possible to see underlying stats unless you have friends in other schools access it for you

The chart is based on data provided by students, so how can we be sure that information is accurate?

Is there a better way to figure out which schools are targets, reaches etc? So if my kid has a 1550 sat and a 3.4 UW, 4.3W or whatever. We’re having trouble building a list.
