I have a couple group trips coming up with two groups of friends I don’t usually spend much time with since having kids.
I’m an introvert and while I like spending some time with friends, it’s also draining for me and I need some alone time to recover. How can I make sure these trips are still enjoyable for me? |
"Sleep in" and have breakfast solo. Meet up on time for the first activity. Also steal 20-30 minutes in the afternoon. |
headphones and a book |
Get your own room.
Limit the number of days. |
What kind of trip and destination? Alone time seems harder on a packed adventure trip while sharing a small house than a city/town with a downtown where you're in a hotel and can split up and wander.
For me, it would help me not to turn on the TV when in my room and to journal or just sit in quiet, maybe at a coffee shop during the day. |
