Upping HRT dose

Anonymous
Just went to the doctor and after being on as estradiol patch .05 for a year, I mentioned I still have stiffness and body aches I didn't have before menopause. She upped my patch dose to .075 (and my progersterone from 100 mg to 200mg). What, if anything should I expect besides a decrease in my hip problems?

I’m on femring and just upped my dose from .05 to .1, and still as achy as I was before. I hope you have better luck.

I don’t understand the increase in Progesterone. The difference between 100 and 200 is usually how you take it. You take the 200 if you’re doing 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, and you do 100 if you take it every day. Of course, upping might be needed for an individual but I’d expect it for someone struggling with sleep not joint pain. I would think the increase in estrogen relative to the progesterone is what you want to try for the joint pain. But curious regardless how you feel. It will take weeks to months so don’t expect tp know immediately.

Agree you will probably be sleepier and up to you if that’s good or too much.
