I've recently come across swim forums discussing the use of tech suits in the NVSL. But instead of focusing so much on tech suits, why not be more concerned about the potential use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) in NVSL? Is there even a specific rule in the NVSL handbook that bans doping? With events like the new Enhanced Games highlighting the role PEDs can play in athletic performance, it raises the question—is doping the only way to break some of the long-standing 15–18 records? |
Not just 15-18, what about those 9-10 and 8u records? Urine sample collector will be a highly sought after volunteer position. |
That person would be a VIPee, that’s for sure |
Good one! |
It's already a rule that NVSL follows all USA Swimming rules on disqualifications unless expressly stated that they do not apply. That would include doping rules. |
I do think that some 15-18s do use “enhancements” before races. There are several kids on our team known to juice with pre-workout before a race. They need to come up with some kind of rule. Just like they need to with tech suits. |
Either be specific about these enhancements or STFU. |
How many volunteer points would we get for this job? |
Congratulations!
Dumbest post ever! |
My kid downs a bunch of pixie stix right before his 25 free. |
Downs or snorts? |
They follow USA Swimming |
Is this a joke? What long-standing records are you talking about that can only be broken by doping? https://www.mynvsl.com/file/36622/2024_NVSL_I...1956___7_20_2024_pdf |
Come on people, this is obviously a joke. |
Betting this is the same OP as the Overlee poster. Here for it! |
