Compacted Math Notifications

Have any other 3rd grade parents not received info on compacted 4/5 math yet? I’ve seen several postings here that parents have received info from their schools. I have not seen anything. My kid is going to CES next year (so changing schools) so maybe that plays in here?

How were folks notified? In ParentVue or something else?

We received a letter sent home today in our child's backpack.

I think it's up to the school when they do it. Many wait until after school is out.

Do they typically send something for kids who are not recommended for compacted math, or only those who are?

At our school everyone got a letter a few days ago.

My kid is going to CES (changing school) and already received compact math decision a few days ago from current school.

No. We received a compacted recommendation but I know from talking to other parents that received recommendations for Math 4.

I’m OP and I haven’t seen anything but of course my kid is not the most organized. Is the only notification really just sent home in backpacks?

I thought the schools got to choose when to send it out. Is there a reason you think that was the countywide date?

There was definitely not a countywide date as we received it today. My child's teacher did send an email giving parents a heads up that it would be in their backpacks.

I haven't received anything yet either. My child is not great at taking things home. Today there was a ton of stuff in DD's backpack as I think her teacher is clearing out the classroom but no letter.

Bumping this up — anyone else still not get a notification? I have to imagine my kid who has consistently scored at 99th percentile on MAP got in right?

Got letter in backpack today. DD scored around 94th percentile and got in. Was with a classmate who got mid 80's also got in. This is a title 1 school. Not sure what cut off is.
