Swim clubs/swim teams still open

This is a long shot, but --

Thanks to a recent career change, we just moved back to Maryland this week (yay!). My DS and DD are both swimmers and I want them to take part in the traditional swim club/summer swim experience. Does anyone know if there are any clubs still open and accepting members for this summer? We know about Montgomery County rec league, the Y, and the year-round clubs, but I am looking to see if there are any clubs which don't have a waiting list and open to new swim team members joining this late in the season.

Many teams have tryouts now-ish if you're looking for a club team. If you reach out and send times, they may let your kids attend a practice in lieu of a tryout.

looks like you are looking to join summer swim team? where are you located? if you are near potomac - i think potomac woods, montgomery square, eldwick probably don't have any wait list. They would love to have your kids.

I’ve heard Parkland recently restarted the swim team and it needs kids (especially older), so your kids would most likely be able to compete in A meets this summer. I know they don’t have a waiting list and are still taking members for this season.

They are also cheaper and do a discounted trial year which comes out to $600-$700 to try out.

For summer swim, the county pools have no waitlist (Bethesda, Long Branch, Glenmont, Germantown and some far out ones) - but I think the deadline is very soon, so you might need to get on it ASAP.

Your location is very important to be able to list options. I am fairly certain Adelphi still has memberships available, and I know the swim team was adding a couple kids this past week (not sure when/if they close that).
