I am glad she is speaking out. I think these kids endure far more than parents realize from coaches, and not just college. At least her parents were on it.

I watched part of her video on this. She said when she went to visit the school, she spoke with an athlete who was CURRENTLY being victimized by the coach.

I was shocked when Alex said her coach was a woman. A woman systematically sexually harrassed her?! Obviously I know it CAN happen, but I was just really surprised to know it did/is.

How is this shocking? People in power have abused it for as long as time. Male/female shouldn't matter and if it's truly shocking to you, you need to open up your views.

I think when someone hurts you, you feel all these negative feelings - anger, sadness, shame, etc. Speaking out releases the intensity of those feelings. Plus, her speaking out can help other victims on that soccer team. She said there are girls currently going through what she went through.

PP - completely agree. I didn’t clarify, but I just meant to imply not much for her to gain in financial terms or prominence.

She is literally the world biggest narcissist. Her show is disgusting. There was likely no investigation because everyone around her knew her and knew how she behaved and slept around. If you sleep with 100+ people and hang out with porn stars then you need to take a look in the mirror. Assumption of risk I guess. I recall her also falsely accusing people at Barstool in the early days of her show of harassment and nothing ever came of it. Seems like an Alex problem.

Wow. I'm guessing you've never actually listened to the show. Or what interviewing a porn star has to do with anything. Regardless if you've never heard a single episode, someone being sexually active and talking about it doesn't excuse abusive behavior by an authority figure. It also doesn't mean the victim is lying. I highly doubt that Alex and her team didn't have legal consult on the situation before it was filmed or that BU was given the heads up that the story was coming out.
