| Ok now that I’ve gotten all these weird emails from DC soccer Club and the guy who split for Brookland (I think?). I live in DC and just want my kids to play low drama soccer (not looking for travel or super competitive). |
| PPA development is great. Mainly in NW. |
| We have done DCSC Rec for 8 years with zero problems. The drama is on the travel side of things and I doubt it will have any impact on the the rec program. |
I agree. As its parent coached, there is zero contact between DCSC staff and the kids and parents. You show up, there’s a 13 year old ref, game on. I think the DCSC charade is very embarrassing- but it doesn’t put me off the rec side. |

People seem to love Takoma, if that’s remotely convenient for you. http://www.takomasoccer.org/
We do PPA and it’s been good, but astronomically more expensive and some of the professional coaches are pretty disengaged. Some are fantastic though. |
| DC way is great for rec |
Not anymore. They never really recovered from the pandemic. Not enough volunteers to coach. Not enough refs. Chaotic and dangerous play even for rec. its unfortunately no longer a good option. |
I have to agree with this. We did Takoma in 2023 and it was awful. Admittedly we were doing 2.5 year old so there’s that but it felt like a complete waste of time. |
I have coached rec with DCSC for 5 years now and there are no issues with rec from my end. The ref program there was the best it’s ever been this past year- we had high quality refs for every game and all the games were competitive and fun. |
