Just down on the mall. They are fencing it off with high fencing to Arlington cemetery. They were restricting access.
Cars are still able to use the streets but could be closed. Avoid the area. |
| They do this every year for the 4th. It's just a bit early because of the celebration of the Army's 250th. |
It's not the same amount and nature of fencing. |
Nope. |
| You've got to wonder what they think they are preparing for. Most people aren't going to go near DC this weekend. |
Yup, I was over there this morning on foot. For the 4th they use light crowd control fencing on the edges of the roads. This is heavy, tall metal fencing placed right in the middle of the sidewalk/bike path. Considering the events aren't even on this side of the river, it's complete BS overkill. |
| Hmmm maybe King is plotting… 😵💫 |
| Authorities are on edge after all the shootings and stabbings at the Pride parade last weekend. |
| Uh huh. I wonder how many tourists will be coming..they claim a million.. |
| Have a feeling there will be a lot of angry tourists who made plans to visit DC before this was all announced. |
Look for available hotel rooms right down town. Plenty of availability. |
Speak for yourself. |
They are preparing to keep the army there Take over DC This is just a distraction The BBB bill says so read it people |
When I was driving home today, that did occur to me. It's a lot and I've been driving this route for years. |
| It’s to keep protesters away, duh. So they don’t embarrass the king. |
