Can anyone recommend a good nutritionist for a 4-year-old? Mine doesn’t eat much/well and we’re starting some OT feeding therapy, but I think we could also use a nutritionist. He doesn’t weigh a lot, so it’d be helpful to get some help in this regard and to make sure what he is eating is sufficient nutrient-wise. |
Bethesda/Chevy Chase area ideally, but can do upper NW or Rockville, too. |
The doctor who has advised you about the health concern should be able to recommend someone appropriate. You have talked with their pediatrician right? |
OP, look for a registered dietician.
Anyone can call themselves a "nutritionist." It's not a credential. |
Here's from the list from my Bethesda pediatrician....
Erin Wolff-Barnett Carrie Zisman Mary Dickie Daisy Miller |
Thanks! We haven’t seen his pediatrician or specialist in a while. Due to see them soon. But I think it’d be good to see a dietician, so I want to get started on that sooner than later. |
Most of the ones listed above look like they’re more for eating disorders. Does anyone have experience with a registered dietitian for a preschooler? |
Kids eat in Color is good for preschoolers. We went though Rebecca Blitzer and associates. |
No judgment here but whats "a while". I'd start with the pediatrician. If you don't like yours find a new one. |
You started feeding therapy? Who prescribed that. |
