Will Ukrainians continue to delay elections until war w/ Russia is over?

Will there be more than the current and previous presidents running?

Wartime isn’t a good time to have elections but this war is dragging on and on. How long can it go without an election?

How do you run elections in territory occupied by the country that invaded you?

Simple:
You do what it takes to keep that territory occupied so you stay in power.

Zelensky ain’t dumb.

https://www.idea.int/news/explainer-conducting-elections-during-war

“ International democratic standards recognize that elections cannot be conducted during emergencies that threaten human life and security. Legal frameworks in many countries explicitly prohibit the conduct of elections during states of emergency, which often include war, large-scale natural disasters, or pandemics. The rationale is clear: holding elections in such conditions risks undermining electoral integrity, violating democratic principles, and endangering citizens.”

Most Ukrainians want peace, while EU (Zelensky) want war.

Why would there be elections if their constitution doesn't mandate it. They have enough to deal with without Russia trying to change their leadership and force a surrender.

So Ukrainians want to give their country to Russia?

Ukrainian constitution prohibits holding an election during war. How could they even hold one with disputed territory?

You may or may not be a Russian propagandist, but you are really good at propagating Russian nonsense.

I don’t believe that.

According to The Economist, Zelensky's approval rating is at 67 percent presently in Ukraine. That's nearly double Trump's approval rating in the US. But do tell us. How would you run in election in a country where roughly a quarter of the country is being obliterated by Russia's invasion and every day cities like Kyiv and Kharkiv are being bombed?

You MAGA totalitarian fanboys are trash, and you know how awful you are. But please do explain how do you run a national election in the midst of a war with drones and cruise missiles that are killing a thousand plus people every day? We're at roughly 1.5 million casualties so far, and only getting started with the summer Russian offensive.

When the war ends and Russia is defeated, there will be elections. Ukraine is very clear that they want to be part of the Western world. I don't think there is any question there. It seems to me that it's Republicans that want Ukraine to be consumed by the Russian totalitarian world. Reagan and Bush would have been horrified by what you're about these days. You Republicans are genuinely scary with your love of Putin and Russia these days.

Russia hasn't had a free election in 20 years.

Vlad can call Zelensky back in 2035.

Putin, unelected, sits in his palace ordering war on Ukraine, and his minions try to spread a lie that Zelenskyy, roving from bunker to front lines to meetings with allies, is enjoying fighting for the survival of is country so much that he's rather do that than possibly not be President.
