Lincoln in the Bardo

Listen or Read? I am hearing both - that it is easier to follow if you read; it is easier to follow if you listen. Thoughts?

I doubt very many people have tried both formats to compare. I loved the print version and didn't find it hard to follow at all. I loved that book.

I’ve heard audio is better and that’s how I plan to take it in.

I read the print version and absolutely loved it.

Hmm I’m not sure. I read it and loved it but maybe it would’ve been better as an audio book— since it’s written in script format. And I think it has an all-star cast to read all the characters (of which there are at least a hundred).

I found it unreadable.

I finished (reading) it, but with a deep sense of dissatisfaction. Too much weird windup for ultimately a very weak pitch.

I loved that book. Read.

Ugh. Hated it and gave up.

This has been on my “maybe” list for a couple of years because I cannot decide whether I would enjoy it or not. You all are not helping! 😂

Same.

It was a tough read.

I wound up feeling happy that I read it ... but more for the exercise and challenge than for any enjoyment.
