Do podcasters and MSM read DCUM for content/perspective?

I was listing to Tim Miller, Bulwark podcast about the bromance disaster and I am almost sure he quoted the DCUM thread on the matter. Furthermore, the line in that thread about Dumpster Don or Donnie Dumptruck and rhythm could be him.

Also, sometimes things are noted on here before I see them in twitter, on the news and some of the analysis seems very close to what I read here. I can only imagine that either the person typing here is a well placed source for the reporter OR the reporter is reading here...maybe both.

I think media folks do, but there is a lot of overlap with twitter so not unique content.

The causation could run in the opposite direction.

I have long suspected that most of the dogmatic posters pushing even the most foolish Democrat talking points on DCUM work for the Democrat media/politics apparatus. I think Democrat insiders have long identified DCUM as a forum where Democrat voters can be propagandized without their knowledge.

Take, for instance, the issue of Biden's senility. Until the jig was up in mid-2024, every time there was a thread on the topic, posters would flood the thread with the sharp as a tack/what about Trump DNC talking points and then accuse everyone who disagreed of being MAGA or Russian bots. It was very coordinated and obvious.

So, the podcasts you reference sound like DCUM posters because they and their employees are the ones writing the DCUM posts you reference.

I agree with 11:00. The repetition of talking points on here is on point with the marching orders given by the DNC to friendly media outlets.

If only the Dems were that well organized and competent. Sadly, the Dem party does a piss poor job of issuing "marching orders." It's the GOP and MAGA that excel in that department, despite losing the popular vote in most recent elections and despite having many policies that are not popular with the majority of Americans.

I told you people in thread after thread that Trump and Biden were terrible choices for POTUS in 2020 and 2024 and few listened. I bet many are wishing they had listened now but to your point; I don't think online threads have much influence per my anecdotal evidence.
