Does anyone use this gym benefit from USAA or AAA? You have to register to even see a list of participating locations in your area. Are there any nice locations in the DMV? |
My husband and I have used it.
We're not in the DC area but he used it to join 24 Hour Fitness and I used it for an Orange Theory membership (IIRC OTF didn't show up through USAA but it did through Cigna). It's been a while so I don't remember what the other options were but there was a variety of regular gyms and then OTF and other studio type places for Pilates, barre, etc. were more. They don't send a lot of email if you register. And it was easy to cancel when I realized OTF wasn't for me anymore--easier than canceling a membership purchased there. |
The options are pretty good, just depends what you like and where you want to go. The Premier (I think it’s called Premier?) options are decent but you may find a better deal if a gym is having a membership special.
It’s free to sign up and view options. I’ve had a login for years but still haven’t joined any of their offerings. |
I don't have your insurance but use a similar benefit for mine. I really like Lifetime Potomac. |
Yes I use it. It partnered with an LA fitness close to my house so that where I go. What I like is I don’t have to get into an annual contract with the gym so a) I don’t pay their annual fee and b) I don’t have a contract I’m going to spend forever trying to get out of if I ever want to cancel, which gyms notoriously make it difficult to do. If you ever need to cancel or switch you just cancel through Active & Fit. |
