Active and Fit Direct?

Does anyone use this gym benefit from USAA or AAA? You have to register to even see a list of participating locations in your area. Are there any nice locations in the DMV?

My husband and I have used it.

We're not in the DC area but he used it to join 24 Hour Fitness and I used it for an Orange Theory membership (IIRC OTF didn't show up through USAA but it did through Cigna). It's been a while so I don't remember what the other options were but there was a variety of regular gyms and then OTF and other studio type places for Pilates, barre, etc. were more.

They don't send a lot of email if you register. And it was easy to cancel when I realized OTF wasn't for me anymore--easier than canceling a membership purchased there.

The options are pretty good, just depends what you like and where you want to go. The Premier (I think it’s called Premier?) options are decent but you may find a better deal if a gym is having a membership special.

It’s free to sign up and view options. I’ve had a login for years but still haven’t joined any of their offerings.

I don't have your insurance but use a similar benefit for mine. I really like Lifetime Potomac.

Yes I use it. It partnered with an LA fitness close to my house so that where I go. What I like is I don’t have to get into an annual contract with the gym so a) I don’t pay their annual fee and b) I don’t have a contract I’m going to spend forever trying to get out of if I ever want to cancel, which gyms notoriously make it difficult to do. If you ever need to cancel or switch you just cancel through Active & Fit.
