Do we give a male teacher a bouquet of flowers?

Our elementary school usually kids give the teachers flowers on the last day. Do you still do this if the teacher is a man? He’s married fwiw so he could give them to his wife if he didn’t keep them for himself.

I’ve never given a man flowers so I’m wondering if this would be odd.

Get him some cologne instead. Or something teacher related.

Maybe a plant instead of flowers, if flowers feel too weird.

Why can’t men like fresh flowers? I don’t get this at all.

Just give him flowers. It’s fine. I’m a woman and I don’t like flowers but appreciate the gesture.

I had a young colleague whose husband was a gym teacher at a public school in a rich neighborhood.

The school had a bouquet for teachers "day" where the PTA ordered shipments of flowers and moms made up
bouquets onsite at the school to give to teachers. And my colleague said her husband got a lot of flowers every year.

Flowers for a man are fine. Many men love flowers too!

WTF. No. Don’t do this.

You’re overthinking this. Just take the flowers.
