Defendant accused of faking Trump death threats so witness would be deported
Demetric Deshawn Scott wrote letters threatening to kill President Donald Trump, in an attempt to get Ramón Morales Reyes deported, Wisconsin prosecutors said
A Wisconsin man is facing charges over allegations that he sent handwritten letters threatening to kill President Donald Trump in a bid to get another man deported.
Demetric Deshawn Scott, 52, of Milwaukee is accused of identity theft, bail jumping and felony intimidation of a witness in a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Monday.
Prosecutors say he is behind several letters purported to be from Ramón Morales Reyes, 54, that were written to U.S. officials and threatened Trump. The letters were designed to get Morales Reyes deported to prevent him from testifying in a case in which Scott is charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery of Morales Reyes, prosecutors say.
The threatening letters sparked a high-level response, and Morales Reyes was arrested May 22 by officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The Department of Homeland Security shared a picture of Morales Reyes and a copy of one of the letters online. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem described him at the time as an “illegal alien who threatened to assassinate President Trump,” and the statement said he would “remain in ICE custody at Dodge County Jail in Juneau, Wisconsin, pending his removal proceedings.”

..
We are tired of this president messing with us Mexicans — we have done more for this county than you white people — you have been deporting my family and I think it is time Donald Trump get what he has coming to him,” the letter addressed to ICE said, according to the criminal complaint. “I will self deport myself back to Mexico,” the letter says, along with a threat to “shoot your precious president in his head.”
However, upon interviewing Morales Reyes, Milwaukee detective Timothy Keller found that he “does not read, write, or fluently speak English,” the complaint said. Asked whether anyone would want to get him “in trouble,” Morales Reyes said it would be Scott, the complaint added.

The letter is still up on DHS website and they know it’s fake. Now Scott will most likely go free. Bet Trump offers him a high level cabinet position.

She’d probably chase the dot from a laser pointer, so I’m not that shocked.

It was a total troll job. She saw her Nigerian Prince and jumped on it. Trump and republicans are a Venn diagram of incompetency, inexperience arrogance and grifters.
