So Trump is speaking for Putin now? On Putin's side? Weren't we supposed to be on Ukraine's side?

I saw a study recently that said that Gen Z is so devoid of facts, since schools no longer teach social studies/history, that they don't even know that Russia was the bad guy during the Cold War. They don't see why we should be on Ukraine's side now, since Ukraine has major problems with corruption. We have failed our youth and we are failing ourselves and the world, aligning with Putin.
