Is your Studio relatively Drama Free? Where are you?

It’s that time of year when many of us reflect on the time, energy, and financial investment we’ve put into dance. As my child grows and becomes more advanced (not specifically in ballet), I’m noticing a rise in behind-the-scenes drama and competitiveness.
I’m genuinely curious—are there families out there with kids dancing 6+ hours a week who aren’t dealing with this? If so, where are you dancing? And for those who are aware of the drama—what studios should we avoid? |

| We had trouble finding a place that had a high enough level of instruction to challenge DD but didn’t have drama, first pushed by the moms and then by the instructors and dancers. It became such a problem that DD dropped dance to focus on gymnastics, which says a lot. |
