laminate strips for IKEA cabinets?

We have white IKEA cabinet boxes whose interiors are OK but the outside strip of the box, where the door meets the cabinet (i.e. covered when door is closed), are chipped in a few spots. I would love to replace some of these strips. Called IKEA. They don't have anything like this. Does anyone know if I can buy this anywhere? When I google, it seems to bring up replacement strips for laminate counters. Different size/width, of course. Thanks for any advice.

It sounds like you're talking about edge banding. There are some peel-and-stick options out there that might work - look into Fast-Cap. Color matching may be your biggest obstacle, but perhaps not.

I would buy a roll and a trimmer (it usually comes slightly oversized in width) and practice on a separate board before attacking your kitchen, though.
