I have been waiting for their to be a DCUM thread in this and am surprised it took so long.
I also read today that the report states that the student who took the video is a biological female, that identifies as male, but presents as a female. Yet this student wants access to the boys locker room because the student says they’re a boy. I have also seen the video the student took where the boys are saying “why is there a girl in the locker room?” Which would make sense if the student presents physically as a girl. The entire situation sounds very convoluted and mishandled. There is channel 7 reporter/ WJLA that has been following this story on X, attended the school board hearings, etc. LCPS has allowed this to snowball into a real mess. |

I actually think the boys' response wasn't bad. I am female and occasionally have walked into a boy's restroom. The response immediately was that I was in the wrong bathroom and I was glad they told me. The boys asked her why she was in the boy locker room.
Why didn't the boys' parents sue over being recorded without their permission? Also, didn't the DOJ civil rights division get DOGE'd? I was surprised when I read it was referred there. |

No, it has just been reprioritized to go after these sorts of Title IX violations instead of previous discrimination and other civil rights issues. 90% of the attorneys left and they are very short staffed. They're hiring, if you want to go do that work. |
