2 things comes to mind when I read about this.

- men do not belong in the schools.

- cash app is beyond amazing to notice the exchange, flag it as grooming based on emojis and then alert the police.

Totally agree re: cash app. There’s a post online that says cash app submits an average of 450 reports a month to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s tip line.

Thank goodness this was flagged by Cashapp, but why in the world didn’t they notify the school?! Also, I find the quote in the article about it being a reputable school interesting - I’m not sure anyone I know would classify it as such.

Aside from this travesty, there are great things about this school. I heard parent, student, and alumni/ae testimonies before the charter board as they applied for renewal. I'm sorry they're having to deal with this.
