Has anyone successfully washed their sleeping pillows? I recall that the Post had an article once that featured a company that you could send pillows to. But online folks have done it themselves. Any one know or have experience with this IRL? Thanks! |
Once a year in the washer. Never any problems. You need two, to balance the load. It will take like three cycles through the dryer to get them dry. Just keep doing until you’re really, really sure they’re dry.
It’s really not a big deal. |
This is one of the few areas where a front load industrial size washer comes in handy.
Just be sure to put them in a zippered pillow cover, to help prevent the pillow case bag from tearing and having feathers everywhere clogging up the washer. |
Add tennis balls when putting in dryer |
You can wash down comforters in the regular washer and dryer l, not front loaders though, it must be a top loader because those actually clean. I don't know why you can't wash down pillows too.
Just be sure to put a tennis ball into the dryer, and fluff/separate the comforter half way through. |
