TJ math pathway changed?
Did I miss this change? Some of the extra ".5" classes are renamed ad only for students coming from Gometry in 8th, and Research Statistics is gone (from the required path)? Statistics is part of Algebra 2 now? Precalculus before 9th is officially supported? https://tjhsst.fcps.edu/flow-chart-math-courses-tjhsst ![]() |

Interesting… Advanced Placement Calculus AB equivalent to 1 semester of college calculus taken over one year Advanced Placement Calculus BC equivalent to 1 year of college calculus So AB is 1 semester and BC is 2 semesters. |
NO. "AP Calculus - year long, BC or AB" Both are year long (two semester) class at TJ. AP Precalculus is semester long. |
Sorry, I meant AB is the equivalent to 1 semester of a college calculus course and BC is the equivalent to 2. Per TJ. |
Hasn't that always been the case, for any school? |
This has always been the official definition of College Board AP Calculus. |
No, AP Precalculus is 2 semesters. Look at the chart. |
That's what I thought. Someone on this forum seems to think otherwise. Probably part of the same "alternate facts" crowd who wants to redefine what "accelerate" means. |
