What, if anything, does the Polish Presidential Wlection results mean for EU/Uktaine?

I understand the President has less power than the PM, but he can still make things difficult passing more EU friendly legislation.

How exactly is the EU’s open border policy friendly to the sovereign nations of Europe?

Recently travelled to Frankfurt and it was unrecognizable. I wasn’t safe there, even in the best part of town. We won’t be returning there any time soon.

Poland, on the other hand, has avoided participation in the welcoming of unvetted, hostile invaders.

Instead, Poland did welcome (into their homes) two million Ukrainians who wanted to assimilate into the Polish culture.

How many terrorist attacks has Poland had? Zero.

In spite of the Obama and Soros recent trip to Poland to campaign for the liberal candidate, they lost. Poland has fought long and hard for its independence. They will continue to keep Poland safe from the Klaus Schwab WEF Globalist Agenda of destruction.

Really? No one has thoughts or insights on this?? The Trump like candidate won. He will continue to stifle EU plans. While definitely not a fan of Russia, he seems not exactly happy about Ukraine either and will likely create obstacles for Ukrainian EU membership.

The border situation ans immigration is definitely something that ticks off other EU nations. How long will they tolerate that? Can they revoke EU membership? On the other hand, EU membership has allowed Poland to grow economically. It is booming.

The parliamentary elections will be more interesting perhaps than the US mid terms.

Zelensky is preventing scheduled presidential elections. He knows he would be defeated. Most Ukrainians want to stop the continued slaughter of their people. Zelensky is happy to let it go on, as long as he stays in power.

How is this a good thing for anyone, beyond the warmongering industries?

He seems more like Trump than some people, but I wouldn’t say he is Trump like. Trump is uniquely unqualified and despicable.

“The candidate also has accused Ukrainian refugees of taking advantage of Polish generosity, vowing to prioritize Poles for social services such as health care and schooling.“

Note the above. Notice that healthcare and schooling are priorities, even if he’s a far right extremist. Trump, on the other hand, would sell out every person and child in the US for a pat on the head from other billionaires. The guy that won in Poland might be terrible, but I think that he’d be insulted to be compared to Trump, even if the the US did send out pro-Russian government representatives like Noem to campaign for him.

Is the EU supposed to just be an economic union? I thought it was more a confederation of countries with a loose central organization as opposed to one with a central government based out of Brussels or wherever.

Poland is definitely challenging the status quo with the EU. It seems that some want the EU to be equivalent to a United States.

Educate me, please.

Uh yes, they want the stopping of the slaughter of their people. They also want Russia out of their country.

Any chance the EU will suspend Poland’s voting rights? How much does the EU depend on Poland now that its GDP has grown so much? Is a Polish version of Brexit a possibility if the PiS or other Poland first parties dominate the parliamentary elections?

Interesting how EU membership has essentially devastated most of Europe because of the mandated invasions.

I began frequent travels to Europe as a child. My father had been perfectly fluent in eight languages. We enjoyed the hospitality of many countries. All of them were relatively safe. Students could travel freely without fear of being raped.

But while recently in Europe, countless tourists in Poland told me Poland was one of only a few safe countries left. Poland’s economy will continue to prosper, thanks to its strong commitment to properly vet foreigners who want to destroy their culture.

They want the Russians out of historically Russian territory filled with Russians because some Soviet Bureaucrats put them in Ukraine for some dumb reason. That’s basically Ukraines claim to that territory.

You mean Russia put Russian colonists there like Britain put its people in Northern Ireland?

Fighting against murderous hostile invaders who want to steal your homeland is a good thing to most people. You don’t agree? What would ever stop a violent imperialist from endlessly expanding their territory if we have no recourse to stop such an action?

Are Ukrainians skeptical about the new Polish president?

Zelensky definitely hates him. Hard working regular Ukrainians just trying to survive, probably want fewer warmongers around.
