If we had bought if for every trip we would have spent hundreds of thousands. |
We have never bought it before but this is a pricier tour...feels like a lot to lose but in general we do skip it. |
This or call/email thetripinsurancestore.com for add’l handholding |
I am curious about this for needing to cancel for health related reasons or get home early |
Yeah. I never bought it. And then got sick with something that kills like 50% of people who get it. In the middle of nowhere in Africa. You want trip insurance. |
It's at a good price, but you can only get it with a Costco trip. |
Health stuff you need to buy fast to get preexisting covered. Look to see if your own medical covers or reimburses outside US. Then what you need is Global Rescue to evac you. |
Check with insuremytrip . com or another for estimates but that scenario requires "cancel for any reason" which is pricey and not necessary for most trips. We always buy primary health and evacuation insurance for international trips. For a family of 5, 10 day ski trip to the Alps cost about $200 over winter break. |
I think you're mistaken. Go to squaremouth or insuremytrip and run some numbers. We've never paid more than $150 for any international trip. |
I was trying to do the math on how much this poster must have spent on vacations…. |
