Porgy and Bess moment

I saw it at the Kennedy Center last week and cried during Summertime because my Grandmother used to sing it to me and it was a bucket list item to see it live. Felt a little silly afterwards. Does anyone else get overcome with emotion sometimes during musical/classical music/opera songs when you see them live?

We saw Miss Saigon years ago on its first original tour, in a red state with a huge military population.

The audience was packed with middle aged men, who were at the time were the generation that fought in Vietnam.

Throughout the performance, particularly during the song about the children of the soldiers, there was audible crying throughout the theater, mostly from the men. It was a very moving experience, especially being from that community.

That song still brings a tear to my eyes when I hear it.

Yep. I cried when I saw Alvin Ailey Dance Theater performing Revelations.

The first movie I ever cried at was "Carousel" when I was 6.
To this day I cannot hear "You'll never walk alone" without crying. Even an instrumental. Even if Jerry Lewis sang it!
