Recommendations for a nutritionist in the DMV

Anonymous
My young adult daughter requested support with longstanding food/weight issues. Can anyone recommend an experienced, skilled nutritionist who focuses on a comprehensive approach including diet, exercise, sleep, stress mgmt, and mental health in the DMV? Appreciate any recommendations.

Not here but I suggest looking for a registered dietitian. Rather than a nutritionist. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist.
So be cautious there.

I use a registered dietitian online with Nourish and they are great.

Try Pinney Davenport.

There's a highly accredited nutritionist who works at The Village Green Apothecary. I think even if she shouldn't do it all, she'll have recommendations for the other parts. From your post, you need a nutritionist, a trainer and a psychologist.

Just echoing that you want to find a registered dietician, not "nutritionist," because the latter might know something or might have taken a fistful of meaningless certifications, and you won't know until you've lined their pockets and wasted your time with some "wellness coach"

IMHO it will be difficult to locate a dietician as they usually are in hospital settings.
Amanda Bauxbaum at Village Green is also a professor of nutrition at Montgomery college.

OP - Take a look at her profile online and see what you think. I approached her about small group training and found her very knowledgeable and kind.
We talked extensively. She also advises on sleep and works out intensely for herself so would know folks in the personal training world.
