AAP Appeal Acceptances, orientation? base vs center?

Anonymous
Since we received an acceptance after the initial round what information is being given to help decide base vs center? Has anyone attended center and then returned to the base school? It seems the initial cohort had an orientation and tours but I don’t see any of that sort of information available. Base is GFES and center is CRES. It seems there are not many LLIV kids.

Will there be orientations offered to us? Anybody (maybe older successful appeal families) have any experience?

Yeah I’m not sure why we missed that. I already accepted but would be nice to have some information

We successfully appealed last year. We missed the orientation, though our base is also a center.

No, you will not be offered an orientation.

Why don’t they do the orientation after the appeal process?

I found this online. Any way to know if your school is cluster model?

Ask your principal, the aart, or a family the year ahead of you. (Probably all 3 to insure a timely response). It's not publicly listed anywhere.

They do the orientations before the appeals are out. It's super lame. But you can call the school and arrange to visit so at least they can walk you around and answer general questions about the school. Recommend to do it ASAP because there can be limited opportunities towards the end of the year.
